David Simpson CISM, CISSP, CISA, MBA
David is the Managing Director and principal security strategist for CQR Consulting and brings in excess of 24 years of experience in the domain to these roles. David is recognised as one of the global leaders in Information Security Management, and is the past chair the ISACA International Certification Board responsible for certifying Information Security Managers.
David is highly qualified, holding the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credentials. He brings extensive business experience, holding an MBA and having led two specialist information security firms in the most senior management roles.
David’s areas of specialty are information security strategies, frameworks and standards, IBM mainframe security, information security policies and risk management. David has also successfully completed training as an ISMS Lead Auditor to the international standards. He excels at presenting the key business risks to client executive management in terms they can relate to.
Greg Inge CISM
Greg is the Managing Director of CQR Consulting Limited, the group’s UK subsidiary company. Through his previous management and consulting roles he has been responsible for delivering corporate strategy in the information security marketplace and as a service provider ensuring that those strategies are aligned with emerging technologies.
Greg brings to CQR Consulting his broad experience in business and information security management as well as in-depth knowledge of the security industry. Greg has over 20 years of experience in IT; with more than 12 years experience in Information Security, combined with an extensive knowledge of the corporate, government and specifically the financial, pharmaceutical and publishing market segments.
His competencies are in security strategies, policies, risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Greg brings additional experience in corporate business development, sales and executive management.
Greg is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) through ISACA and is a member of ISACA.
Phil Kernick BEng, BSc(Hons),CISSP, CCSP
Phil has 19 years of experience in information security and technology. He has focussed on information security for the past 11 years and has CISSP and Cisco CCSP security certifications. Phil has specialised in the areas of information security architecture and strategy, and his engineering background has provided a focus for protecting the SCADA assets of critical infrastructure businesses.
Phil has an extensive knowledge and experience of the financial, utility, and defence market segments where he has conducted numerous security and application reviews, developed security audit programmes, and assisted clients to maximise the value of their information assets though effective security strategy and architecture. Phil’s other strengths include well-developed communication skills and a strong business understanding which complement his technical abilities.
Andy Owers
Andy has more than 30 years of Information Technology experience of which 10 years has been specialising in information security serving clients in the Asia Pacific region.
His range of consulting expertise includes mainframe security, security strategy and policy, risk management, disaster recovery planning and project management. Andy has extensive knowledge of corporate and government organisations, specifically the financial, airport applications and infrastructure, manufacturing, government and utility market segments.
Between 1997 and 2002 Andy was located in Singapore as Vice President Asia-Pacific for an Information Security Consultancy organisation. His clients included Singapore Airlines, Citibank, OCBC, Deutsche Bank and DBS Bank amongst others.
For the last 28 months one of Andy’s major assignment has been as IT Manager to Adelaide Airport Limited (AAL) with a mandate to improve the Information Security, Policies and processes against the AAL strategic plan.
